About Us

The developingskills.com team are Ron Alstead and Jo Spackman. We're computer programmers with well over 30 years combined experience developing software in academic and commercial environments. Jo's first computer was a Dragon and Ron can remember using a Commodore Pet at school, so we both go back a fair bit.

We don't claim to be experts in all the categories on this site, but as far as the programming languages go, we've certainly dabbled in each of them and been gainfully employed to write software in some of them. As far as categories like 'Management', 'Usability' and 'Testing' go, we like to think that we've been around the IT industry for long enough to know a good thing when we see it.
